Authentic Havyaka and Malnad cuisine @Tulsi
Tulsi Homestay is renowned for its traditional Havyaka and Malnad cuisine, offering guests a taste of authentic local flavors. Their specialty lies in Tulsi tea and a variety of Malnad Havyaka dishes, prepared using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a delightful array of dishes, including the famous Tellevu, idli, and paddu for breakfast. Lunch and dinner showcase traditional Malnad delicacies such as rice, sambar, tambuli, appehuli, katne, karkli, and more. Some of signature dishes include neerdose (Tellevu), served with jaggery and homemade ghee accompanied by chutney. jackfruit sambar and sukka, hashi, tambuli, sasive, bhudukumbala majjige huli, majjige polja, bhoot gojju, and pineapple kayirasa. Prepared with seasonal herbs and leaves from the Western Ghats rainforest, dishes offer a unique blend of flavors that celebrate the richness of Malnad culture and culinary heritage. Tulasi’s cuisine is characterized by the generous use of coconut in all dishes, enhancing their flavors.
